Plot

Jesse packs up to leave his house to go to his girlfriend's house to get away from the things that are happening with his family, especially his mother. He lets his mom know that he's going to his girlfriend's for the weekend but she despises the idea of it and the two get into an argument. She states that she broke his heart a long time ago, but Jesse laughs in disbelief and leaves to go anyway. The next day, both Jesse and his girlfriend are getting ready to celebrate Christmas. His girlfriend shows him an ornament that she won from a singing competition that Jesse doesn't seem to remember. Afterward, the two go out to have some dinner before returning to her house. They both then cuddle and hang out with each other for the night. On the next morning, his girlfriend is outside the window on the phone with a publicist that wrote an article about her and her music. She comes back in the house to talk to Jesse about the publicist, the article, and her music. She is being bothered by the camera on her face. In her bedroom, she plays Jesse her song, Mirror, with seven million streams and the two get into a small argument about whether or not the album, I Am, has been out for months. After that, she shows Jesse a trophy for her album, states that she should be in Nashville, and argues about going separate ways on doing their own things. Later that night, she supposedly previews him a song that she is going to release but he is familiar and confused about the song, so he sings along. They both get into another argument about the song, which then becomes a heated argument between each other. The two get in the car and eventually cool off afterward and both have small talk about Taylor Swift's music. Then, his girlfriend's song plays on the radio and both celebrate after she has made it to the music industry. But things only got worse in a matter of time when the two are both in the process of a break up due to her taking her music path on Christmas Eve. Jesse tries to talk it out with her but the two have already broken up so he gets emotional and runs to his car. She stops him to say that they've been broken up for two years now but Jesse doesn't have the meaning behind it as Jesse is two years behind in the head. Jesse twitches, heads into his car, and says that he hates Christmas while still being heartbroken.
