The Growth of StoryFire Series is a series created and updated by both Jesse Ridgway on StoryFire and Jeffery Ridgway and his Dad on the McJuggerNuggets Channel. The series follows the beginning of StoryFire and StoryFire's growth from a new website.
Timeline
StoryFire is an app that was announced by Jesse in the video StoryFire: A Group-Storytelling App, which was released onto Jesse's main channel on Jul 30, 2017. In the video, Jesse describes what StoryFire is, along with other basic information.
Over the next two years, Jesse would continually advertise StoryFire and attempt to grow it, however there was some backlash from fans who wanted Jesse to stay on Youtube. They wanted Jesse to get to 4 million subscribers and possibly more, as he stated he would get to 10 million subs.
However, on October 18, 2019, Jesse would upload the video I'm Quitting Youtube on January 1st, 2020, in which he stated he would leave YouTube for StoryFire in 2020. Jesse seemed to hasten the conversion of fan from YouTube to StoryFire by uploading some episodes of The Devil Inside Series exclusively to StoryFire. This caused some people to make their own channels and put Jesse's videos on Youtube, and this practice continues.
Growth in Popularity
Over time, Jesse attempts to grow the popularity of Storyfire by uploading some videos on it and allowing over creators such as Boogie and KidBehindACamera to join, but some leave due to policies, disagreements, or other reasons.
Jesse Leaves Youtube
Jesse left Youtube on January 1, 2020, which he announced months before. Many viewers were skeptical about Jesse leaving Youtube for good, as he has "left" Youtube several times. However, they proven wrong after Jesse fully committed to StoryFire and didn't upload any videos to YouTube, which left many viewers stunned. Some even felt that Jesse had betrayed them, as he had apparently left them on YouTube for StoryFire.
Jeffery Takes the Channel
On January 24, 2020, a video titled I have returned... was uploaded onto the McJuggerNuggets main channel. In this video, it is revealed that Jeffery Jr. has "hacked" into the McjuggerNuggets channel, and effectively took it over. Later, in Pyscho Dad Owns McJuggerNuggets Channel, it is revealed that Jeffery. Jr has given control of the main channel to Jeffery Ridgway Sr.
